September Fundraisers of the Month
"When Common Ground Games open in May of 2013, partners in life and in business Jamison Sacks and DR Mann Hanson, envisioned a store that would fill a gaming need in Dallas and help create a community to gamers gay and straight alike. It was a giant leap of faith. One we gladly took. Little did we know that that community we hoped to build was waiting to catch us. Our name, Common Ground, was chosen for a reason. No matter your background with gaming or in life, where you’re going and what you aspire to, we’re all equal. We all share a common ground. In order to keep that ground stable, secure, and ready for growth we believe in giving back to the community.
Common Ground Games works with DFW Nerd Night every 3rd Sunday of the month to bring games and joy to the families at The Ronald McDonald House in Dallas. And every year since our inception, we create Team CGGCares to raise money for AIDS Arms during their annual LifeWalk event. We’re proud to be joining hundreds of other Teams in Dallas once again this year and hope our lofty goal of $2,000 can be shattered just like our expectations were when we opened our game store. We’re a success because of you, our community. Now let’s make LifeWalk a success and help thousands of men and women living with HIV/AIDs find the help, support, and compassion they deserve."
